Strengthening Cybersecurity for SME’s: Navigating DORA, NIS2, and National Cybersecurity Strategy

As companies continue to adopt digital technologies and move more of their operations online, the need for robust cybersecurity measures has never been more urgent. With cyber threats becoming increasingly sophisticated, it is essential for businesses to protect their digital assets, ensure uninterrupted operations, and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data. To help organizations tackle these challenges, the European Union has introduced two key legislative measures: the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the NIS2 Directive. These initiatives are designed to enhance the cybersecurity posture of businesses, particularly those in critical sectors, by setting clear requirements for risk management, incident reporting, business continuity, and third-party security. With the aim of strengthening resilience across the digital ecosystem, DORA and NIS2 are pivotal in safeguarding companies against the growing threat of cyberattacks while ensuring they can continue operating securely in an increasingly interconnected world.
